I am amazed each day the change the seasons bring to the colors and foliage of our trees. Even with the change one thing remains the same: Each trees roots and trunk; A solid foundation, growing deep into the ground, promoting continued growth.
This blend of transformation with permanence spreads beyond our campus grounds into all areas of this wonderful experience we call RBG and RBE.
We have a thriving school community full of exciting new changes rooted in fundamentals that remain constant. RBG’s modernization is 99 percent complete. Air conditioning in all classrooms, updated bathrooms and locker rooms, classrooms with updated technology, smart boards etc. are all a part of our students daily experience because of the generosity of the community, educational foundation and other service oriented groups in our midst. This year also brings a transition from California state standards to a Common Core Curriculum which will help our students become thinkers rather than a mere reflector of other people’s thoughts. We want our students to commit to a mindset of intellectual curiosity that will serve them for a lifetime.
Amongst the change, RBG Union School District’s foundation remains strong with continued academic excellence, caring faculty and staff, a welcoming atmosphere where kids want to come to school, and you, RBG’s strongest supporters . You make up the trunk rooted in those things that keeps RBG a great place to be!
In May 1991, the Rio Bravo-Greeley Union School District celebrated its 100th birthday. At that party of family and friends a book was given that held many memories from members of the community about the school and its early history. That book has been digitized and made available now to be shared 22 years later. We hope you enjoy some of the stories from our past, but also enjoy the ride as Rio Bravo-Greeley continues to grow into the future...
