Our Club is here for the benefit of the students. All the money raised is used to purchase items that cannot be purchased through the school budget. Some examples are the Smart Boards that some of the teachers are using and the outside tables in the kindergarten area. Each year, every teacher is allowed a small fund to use to purchase items for their classroom. Teachers and the principals also submit requests for items throughout the year. Some recent approvals are more Smart Boards for Mrs. Monroe and help with Mr. Coleman's "organization" roll out.
We are only as strong as the parents and volunteers who work, organize and give their time to our events. We encourage more parents to get involved. It's an easy way to get to know some other parents, your children's teachers, and to lend a hand. If this kind of "hands on" is not for you, we could use help running errands for events (buying supplies), drumming up sponsors or judges, delivering thank you's after an event or even just simply be a sponsor. Sponsors can range from the inexpensive to a bit more pricey, from purchasing a token thank you gift for the Flower Show judges to renting the Port-a-potties for Cow Chip Bingo. For any event we need you, in any capacity you are able to help!
The executive board meets monthly during the school year with two meetings each year being a general meeting in which all parents are welcome to come and see what's up.
Our Parent Teacher Club is unaffiliated with the PTA organization.
