Rio Bravo-Greeley USD will be participating in the Pennies for Patients program from February 6-17. Third Quarter Progress Reports will be sent home on Thursday, February 9. This is a one way of checking on your child's grades. The ROBO Gauchos participated in the Stars and Stripes classic at Olive Knolls this past Saturday, February 4th.The team members present were: John Anderson (captain), Carson Funkhouser (captain), Kallie Lusk, and Max Matejka (with new members Hannah Anderson and Jack Johnson). These six Gauchos represented RBG with two robots, one that was built in only 4 days. The first part of the day was qualifying matches and the two teams went 6-1 and 7-0. This meant that the Gauchos got first pick to build a team for an elimination tournament at the end of the day. The tournament team consisted of both ROBO Gaucho teams, joined by Briggs (from Santa Paula, California). Although the last round of the tournament was close, the team was able to get the victory and the three teams are now qualified to compete at the State tournament on March 3rd - 4th, at the Kern County Fair Grounds._____________________________Los miembros del equipo presentes fueron: John Anderson (capitán), Carson Funkhouser (capitán), Kallie Lusk, y Max Matejka (con los nuevos miembros Hannah Anderson Y Jack Johnson). Estos seis gauchos representaban a RBG con dos robots, uno que fue construido en sólo 4 días. La primera parte del día fueron los partidos de clasificación y los dos equipos fueron 6-1 y 7-0. Esto significó que los Gauchos obtuvieron la primera selección para construir un equipo para un torneo de eliminación al final del día. El equipo del torneo estuvo formado por dos equipos ROBO Gaucho, unidos por Briggs (de Santa Paula, California). Aunque la última ronda del torneo estuvo cerca, el equipo logró la victoria y los tres equipos están calificados para competir en el torneo estatal del 3 al 4 de marzo en el recinto ferial del condado de Kern.
