The Kern County Fair will be starting September 20 and, if you have a student participating in the fair, will be missing classes. We need your help in getting students on a contract for their time out of school.We will be following the procedures:  The bottom portion of this letter will need to be returned signed by the parent and student.  This must be returned to the school no later than Monday, September 11, 2017.  Please remember to indicate each day your student will be participating at the fair.    Each student will need to pick up an assignment sheet from his or her teacher prior to going to the fair. All work must be returned by Monday, October 2, 2017.  Tests, if any, will be made up during the week of October 2, 2017. Students are to sign-in each day that they are contracted to be at the fair.  There will be a sign-up sheet stapled to the bulletin board located outside the Junior Livestock office.  If a student does not check in he/she will be considered unexcused in regards to attendance and will receive no credit for work turned in or be allowed to take up make up examinations. We appreciate parents who ensure students miss as little classroom instruction time as possible. This agreement is only valid after both the student and the parents sign this form and it is turned into the school office.  If you have any questions feel free to contact the school office at 661-589-2505. Please see the attached document for the part to return  

Dear Parents or Guardians: We are excited to let you know we will be having our students wear PE uniforms beginning this school year. The set will be $15 for the t-shirt and shorts and can be purchased from the PE department the first few weeks of school.  This is a reminder that all 7th grade students must have their Tdap Booster before they can attend the first day of school.  Also, 7th and 8th grade parents, we have added an Intramural sports elective for sixth period. If your child would like to be considered for this elective, please call the RBG office at 661-589-2505 beginning July 26th or preferably, email Ms. Gonzalez at sgonzalez@rbgusd.org as soon as possible. Include your student's name, grade, and your phone number. Please note, like every elective, priority will be given beginning with the 8th graders and so forth. Homeroom teachers will be posted on the front office door on Tuesday, the 15th at 4 pm. Hope you are having a great summer! We will see you on Wednesday, August 16th! There will be a Welcome Back Pool Party for the 8th Grade on Thursday, August 24 from 3:30 - 5:00 PM at the RBG Swimming Pool. Students will need to have a signed permission slip for the event. Please pick up your student by 5:00 PM at the Pool.
